Hiring a Part-Time Grant Writer

We’re excited to announce we are hiring a part-time grant writer to help expand our funding opportunities and support our mission of bringing great choral music to our community.
This role will work closely with our leadership team to research grant opportunities, prepare proposals, and help build relationships with potential funders. It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys connecting meaningful arts programming with the organizations that make it possible.

Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role located in Scottsdale, AZ. The grant writer will be responsible for identifying funding opportunities, conducting prospect research, developing proposals, and managing grants. Responsibilities include preparing persuasive grant applications, maintaining accurate grant records, cultivating relationships with potential funders, and assisting with fundraising strategies to support the organization's mission.
Qualifications
Strong skills in grant writing and proposal writing
Experience in grant administration and prospect research
Background in fundraising and developing funding strategies
Excellent written communication, organizational, and time management skills
Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment
Familiarity with the nonprofit sector, particularly arts or music organizations, is a plus
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, nonprofit management, or a related field OR two years’ experience working in grant writing for nonprofits
Details
Attend monthly board meetings to help strategize and report progress
Approximately 20-25 hours per month
Hourly pay, negotiable
