Happy Spring!

Dear Music Lovers,

Happy Spring! Our singers are hard at work preparing a joyful and wide-ranging program for our May 16 concert, featuring patriotic favorites along with Broadway, folk, country, mariachi, and—of course!—classic Americana selections. It promises to be a wonderful celebration of American music, so start planning your red, white, and blue attire and come enjoy the fun (and don’t miss the raffle for our USA Today basket!).

I am especially proud of the beautiful singing at our recent Afternoon at Steinway event—our wonderful singers truly hit it out of the ballpark! A heartfelt thank-you to our outstanding guest artists: baritone Nathan De'Shon Myer of ASU, whose inspiring performance thrilled the audience, and flautist Sylvie Berthold for her elegant and expressive playing. Special thanks also to our piano accompanist Jason Neumann, who made the Steinway sing so musically.

My gratitude goes to our generous donors and enthusiastic bidders who made our first online auction a success, to Sharon Ehnat who served as the mistress of ceremonies for our successful fundraiser, and to our wonderful volunteers for organizing and helping throughout the afternoon. It was truly a team effort, and the event was a tremendous success. We are eagerly waiting to see what our photographer caught on film and will share it with you very soon!

Don't forget our April vocal competition for high school singers, and if you’ve ever thought about singing yourself, we would love to meet you! Auditions the evening of May 19. Prepare a solo and come sing with us! (Details for both are below.)

Warmly,

Carolyn Eynon

Artistic Director
