Preparing for a Special Event!

Dear Music Lovers,
January seemed to fly by, yet it left us with powerful reminders of how music can carry meaning, memory, and shared purpose, especially as we reflected on the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through song.
I’m especially excited about our upcoming Wine, Conversation, and Song afternoon at Steinway & Sons with Nathan De’Shon Myers as our special guest.
I first met Nathan three years ago at an ASU Gospel Choir concert, and our musical connection has continued to grow ever since. Nathan later guest-directed CES in gospel repertoire and welcomed us to perform with ASU’s Gospel Choir and orchestra—an experience many of us still talk about.
Nathan brings an extraordinary presence to the stage: soulful, energetic, charismatic, and refreshingly open. Performing with him again feels like a true reunion, and our Steinway concert will reflect that shared history. Nathan has just returned from a European tour with the American Spiritual Ensemble, and I encourage you to explore more of his work on his website, or read about him in our recent blog post.
I do hope you’ll join us on Saturday, February 28, for this memorable afternoon of music, conversation, and connection. Along with beautiful music, there will be a Q&A with Nathan and myself over a glass of wine, as well as the opportunity to meet Henry Welsby, the talented manager of Steinway & Sons.
This special event is our largest fundraising event this year. All auction proceeds and ticket sales go directly to support our educational programs and continued artistic work in the community.
We would love to share this afternoon with you!
Warmly,
Carolyn Eynon
Artistic Director
