Arizona Commission on the Arts Grant awarded to CES!

The Carolyn Eynon Singers is thrilled to share exciting news: we’ve been awarded a grant from the Arizona Commission on the Arts! This support helps us do what we love most — bringing people together through the transformative power of choral music.

This capacity arts grant will be used to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the USA this spring! American composers, poets, folksongs, and original choral work will be featured along with patriotic traditional American music as we perform around the Valley in venues offered by the city of Phoenix (dates TBD).

For nearly two decades, CES has lifted voices and spirits across the Valley with performances that celebrate diverse traditions, honor timeless classics, and shine a light on new works. With this grant, we can continue offering concerts that inspire and unite while keeping them accessible for all members of our community.

The funds will help us cover essential needs such as rehearsal space, artistic staff, and performance costs — the backbone of every concert. More importantly, this grant strengthens our ability to connect people through song. Whether by commissioning Arizona composers, collaborating with other arts groups, or simply creating a space where music can bring comfort and joy, CES serves as a bridge across generations and cultures.

Every contribution we receive makes an impact, and this award reminds us that our mission matters: enriching lives through choral excellence. We’re deeply grateful to the Arizona Commission on the Arts for recognizing the value of our work and for helping keep Arizona’s arts community vibrant.
